Options Explained

Colour

The colour of your holster.

We list the most popular colours, but others can be ordered fairly reliably. If you don’t see a colour you like, have a look at our supplier’s catalogue and contact us to place your order. We may add a surcharge to cover the increased cost of some colours/patterns.

Mount

Mount refers to how the holster is mounted (attached) to your body, typically via a belt. We offer several mounts at a discounted price when bought with a holster. If you select anything below as your mount option, it will arrive attached to your holster, ready to go. If you’d prefer to attach your own mount, select ‘No Mount.’

Draw Hand

Outside the WaistBand (OWB) holsters are typically placed on the same side of your body as your draw hand. If you’re right handed, you have a ‘right-hand draw’ with the holster attached to the right side of your body. The opposite is true for a left-handed shooter: left-hand draw, left side of the body.

Guard Height

The ‘Guard’ is the uppermost part of the holster on the side closest to your body. Some people push off the guard to draw their handgun or use it to mitigate (not prevent) clothing from getting inside their holster. Our holsters are designed with multiple guard-height options to accommodate as many shooters as possible. From shortest to tallest, those options are usually:

  • No Guard
  • Mid Guard
  • 3/4 Guard
  • Full Guard

To see what those heights are for your handgun’s holster, check out the guard-height image in the product’s photos.

Guard heights depend on the handgun’s design. The trigger guard must be covered when holstered; users must have good access to the beaver tail when drawing; and the guard’s width (~30mm) must mitigate the risk of it entering the trigger guard.
